The purpose of this web page is to introduce you to Waughtown Baptist Church and extend our invitation for you to join us in worship.

Established in 1878, Waughtown Baptist Church has been proclaiming the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for over 100 years.  We have approximately 200 members in our congregation- and growing.

We believe- as stated in the Holy Bible- that God loved us so much that He gave His one and only son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. And three days after His death on the cross, Jesus Christ arose from the dead. 

The blood that was shed by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the cross made a way of forgiveness from  the sin that was a barrier between God and humanity. 

Not only are we able to have forgiveness of our sins because of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but we are also able to have the gift of eternal life. 

John 3:16 says:  "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." 

This is a gift- we must only believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, and accept Him as the Lord and Savior of our life.

Our congregation strives to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world in a way that will be in accordance with God and His holy word. We invite you to be a part!
